Kellogg's (relatively) recently introduced Krave - a 'new' type of cereal with a chocolate filling. They've been heavily marketing it and of course, it's an absolute hit with the kids. They describe it thus :
While this may indeed be a new type of cereal on the average Tesco cereal shelf, it's actually been around for a much longer time. Lidl have had this cereal for as far back as I can remember, labelled as 'Nougat Pillows'. Having tried Kelloggs' version, it felt like they had put just enough chocolate in that people wouldn't complain. Typical of this fiercely cutthroat multinational, they've tried to maximise profits by putting a huge price tag on the bag. Chocolate, of course, costs much more than wheat and as a result of their stingyness, their Krave is lame and way overpriced... when compared to Lidl's Nougat Pillows. Lidl's version has far more chocolate - a whole 40%, their pieces are noticeably bigger and chunkier and much more delicious as a result. I'll leave you with this price comparison that'll no doubt leave you stunned ...
Kellogg's Krave : 8% chocolate : 375g : £2.59
Lidl's Nougat Pillows : 40% chocolate : 750g : £1.99
" When you want a tasty breakfast, NOTHING hits the spot like chocolate... Here's something so undeiably good that it's worth getting out of bed for.
With a crispy cereal shell made with oats, what and rice and a smooth chocolate hazelnut centre, it'lld efinitely satisfy your urge for taste! "
